The Visibility by Prompt Conversation Type card is the final card in your Brand AI Visibility section. Rather than segmenting your visibility by LLM platform, this card slices it by the type of conversation Parsnipp is simulating on your behalf, giving you a clearer picture of which kinds of shopper interactions your brand is surfacing in and which ones need more work.
Parsnipp simulates three distinct prompt conversation types, each reflecting a different way a real shopper might interact with an AI search platform when researching your category:
Brand Prompts - Simulated conversations where the shopper is asking directly about your brand, such as questions about what you offer, how you compare, or what customers say about you.
Category Prompts - Simulated conversations where the shopper is exploring the wider category without naming any specific brand, such as asking for the best product in a space or how to solve a problem your brand addresses.
Competitor Prompts - Simulated conversations where the shopper is asking about a competitor by name, and Parsnipp is tracking whether your brand gets surfaced alongside or instead of them.
It is worth setting realistic expectations for each prompt type. Brand and competitor prompts tend to produce higher visibility rates, because the shopper is already asking about specific brands and AI platforms are more likely to surface you in that context. Category prompts are a tougher challenge. When no brand is named in the initial question, you are competing to be recommended purely on the strength of your AI search presence, without the prompt working in your favour. Strong performance in category prompts is one of the clearest signals that your GEO strategy is genuinely working.
Tracking visibility across all three conversation types gives you a much more nuanced and honest read on your AI search performance than a single blended number alone.
